This issue is from 18 years before Maine became a state. The front page has: "Callender - Jefferson - And the Prospect Before Us". Four pages, a 9 1/2 inch piece from the last column of the back leaf has been cut away & replaced with tissue paper (see, foxing, irregular at the spine.
