June 08, 1933
THE OMAHA BEE-NEWS, Nebraska, a collection of four consecutive issues dated June 8, 9, 10 & 11, 1933

* Johnny Goodman wins
* U.S. Open golf championship
* 4 issue set from hometown

Each with front page headline on Johnny Goodman, an Omaha native who would go on to be only the fifth (and to this day the last) amateur to win the U.S. Open golf tournament. The four others were Francis Ouimet, Bobby Jones,  Jerome Travers, and Chick Evans.
See the photos for the headlines of each issue, following Goodman as he inched closer to the championship, and the June 11 headline: "Johnny Goodman Open Golf King; Wins Title by One-Stroke Margin" which includes a nice photo of him as well.

Each issue is complete, some margin chipping but otherwise in good condition. Terrific to have reports on all four days of the tournament, and in a newspaper from the winner's home town.
