Inside has reports headed: "America" from Boston, being actions from the General Assembly of Massachusetts (see photos). Another page is mostly taken up with more reports: "From the Boston News-Papers" including "A Proclamation" which relates to the arrival of the French fleet at Rhode Island, noting: "...received authentic intelligence of the arrival of the French fleet at Newport...and it being of the last importance that General Washington should be prepared immediately to cooperate with the force of our illustrious ally...called upon in the most pressing manner...to cause the battalion & militia men that they have been ordered to inlist or draft & which have not marched, to march with the utmost dispatch to the places of rendezvous..." with more. An item from Boston includes: "...three spies were hanged at head quarters near Morristown; they were taken in Monmouth county by some of our militia. The gang consisted of five, one was killed and another made his escape...". Also another "Proclamation" (see photos). A few other reports as well.
Eight pages, 9 by 12 inches, nice condition.
