Page 3 has a report from a New York letter: "...since General Clinton's arrival...I may venture to say this campaign is finished...The balance of accounts these two years past is much against us. I conclude the end of this business is earnestly looked for at home. Small sums and smaller armies will not do. The Commissioners have been treated with contempt..." (see).
Over half a page is taken up with a letter beginning: "The independence of America is now talked of by some as a matter which not only belongs to hear of right, but we are told, Great Britain could receive no injury from seeing it established..." with much more on this (see photos).
Eight pages, 8 1/4 by 11 inches, very nice, clean condition.
