THE MASSACHUSETTS CENTINEL, Boston, April 16, 1788  Page 3 has a chart of election returns for Lieut. Governor of Mass., and also notes: "His Excellency John Hancock has above three quarters of the votes for Governour as far as we have heard." Page 2 has an item from Rhode Island which includes: "...motion was made...that a Convention of this state be called...to deliberate upon the proposed Constitution,--but it was rejected by a majority of 27..." (see).
Four pages, some ink stains to the ftpg., some wear at folds, a bit irregular at the spine.
