THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, April 14, 1781 The back page has a short item concerning Capt. Cook: "The Crocodile, a new frigate...the command of her given to Capt. King, who succeeded the late unfortunately Capt. Cook in the command of the Resolution, when on the voyage of discoveries." Another page has: "American News" with news from Charleston which begins: "The following is an account of a disturbance that happened on Tuesday lat amongst the negroes on Dr. Carson's estate on John's Island..." and what follows are particulars of an insurrection (see photos) taking most of a column.
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/4 inches, ink off-setting affects the Capt. Cook item a bit (see photos) & other articles, otherwise in nice condition.
