CHARLESTON DAILY COURIER, Charleston, South Carolina, April 13, 1864 This is one of just a few titles in the South which printed "Confederate States Of America" in the dateline (see). Among the ftpg. articles are: "From Richmond--Good News From Mobile--Defeat of Banks' Army--Great Loss of the Enemy" "From Dalton. Arrest of a Yankee Female--Affairs in the Southwest" "The Soldiers at Branchville" "Fort Sumter" and more. The back page is mostly taken up with advertisements including "$50 Reward" for a runaway slave, also: "Slave Labor For the Coast" and others.
