* Abraham Lincoln and the Proclamation
of Amnesty

This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by famed abolitionist publisher William Lloyd Garrison. The masthead features two engravings, one of a slave auction and the other showing slaves being emancipated (see).

Beginning at the bottom of the front page and continuing to the top of the second page is an article: "President Lincoln's Message" which has this prefacing comment: "We print, below, all that portion of the Message referring to the war, slavery, and kindred matters."  Further on is the complete  text of the: "Proclamation Of  Amnesty" which is signed in type by the President: Abraham Lincoln (see).

Great to have this content in an anti-slavery newspaper.

Complete in four pages, folio size, very nice condition.  Some browning at the folds (see images).
