August 29, 1963
THE PARSONS SUN, Kansas, August 29, 1963

* Martin Luther King Jr.
* March on Washington D.C.
* Historic Civil Rights demonstration

The front page has a nearly banner headline reading: "March Impact On Congress Is Hard to Figure". This was the very famous march on Washington, D.C. led by civil rights leader Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. The top of the front page has an article on it with yet another on page 2 headed: "Translation Job Next for Negroes" and at the bottom of page 2 is a photo with a caption beginning: "After The March--Discarded signs & other debris litter the ground near the Lincoln Memorial..." (see).  This was the march in which King gave his very famous "I have a dream..." speech (not printed here).

Complete in 16 pages, a bit irregular at the spine margin, otherwise in very nice condition.
