An inside page includes: "...declared it more than probable that Arnold with his 30,000 men had joined general Washington as he was within 10 days march of his encampment...begged to know if the Howes could depend on any force..." with more (see).

Another report includes: "...an officer in Gen. Burgoyne's army arrived in tow...& immediately waited upon Lord North when he confirmed the news of that General's surrender to Arnold & also the account that the officers only are to be sent home upon their parole..." this being the "Second Battle of Saratoga" at Bemis Heights, in which Benedict Arnold was assisted by Horatio Gates & others to defeat Burgoyne's forces.

The back page has an: "Extract of a Letter from Gen. Arnold to Major Gen. Gates, dated Fort Schuyler, August 24" which is signed by him in type: R. Arnold [note: should have been "B" Arnold]. This is the siege of Fort Stanwix in which Arnold is successful in ending Col. St. Leger's siege of the fort (see photos).

Complete in 8 pgs., 8 1/2 by 11 in., very nice, clean condition.
