* You will have heard of our defeat at Ticonderoga before this letter reaches you...this pass is now so fortified by the French as to make it a cover to Crown Point & the chief protection to Montreal itself...
continuing to take half of the page and half a column on the next page in detailing the actual battle of Ticonderoga (see photos for portions).
This is one of the better & more detailed reports we have discovered on this significant battle from the French & Indian War.
Complete in 8 pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/4 inches, some scattered foxing, generally nice.
