SUPPLEMENT TO THE PENNSYLVANIA EVENING POST, Philadelphia, (1775)  There is no date at the top of this small, single sheet "Supplement" issue, however 3 ads on the bkpg. are dated in October, 1775 (see).
Most of the ftpg. is taken up with a terrific & detailed report concerning the actions of Virginia Governor Lord Dunmore against his colonists, the beginning portion of the report including: "After Lord Dunmore, with his troops & the navy, had been for several weeks seizing the persons & property of his Majesty's peaceable subjects in this colony...a part from an armed tender landed near Hampton & took away a valuable Negro man slave & a sail from the owner. Next morning there appeared...a large armed schooner...& a message...he would that day land & burn the town. On which a company of regulars & a company of minute men...made the best disposition to prevent their landing..." with much more (see photos).  Included in the report is a Resolve of "The Committee of Safety". Not long after this event Dunmore would issue his famous directive offering freedom to all slaves who would leave their masters & join the King's army.
The balance of the ftpg. & all of the bkpg. are taken up wit ads. Measures 7 1/2 by 9 in., a small nice from the blank spine not touching any text, otherwise in great condition.
