Among the page 2 deaths is one that reads: "In England, in July...the wonderful Mrs. Anne Moore, (the fasting woman) of Tetbury, Staffordshire, who existed four years without eating, and nearly three years without drinking even so much as a glass of water!! She was 50 years of age...Faculty are baffled in all their opinions concerning the...duration of life without food..."

Another obituary reads: "In Huntington, (Penn.) Major Wm. Henderson: He commanded the honorary guard of Congress at the Declaration of Independence, in 1776; and was an active officer throughout the revolutionary war."

News of the day includes: "Another Naval Combat" "Military" and more with many ads.
