THE NEW YORK HERALD, Jan. 18, 1865  Almost the entire ftpg. is taken up with a huge & terrific map headed: "THE CAPTURE OF FORT FISHER. Scene of Admiral Porter's & General Terry's Brilliant Operations on Saturday & Sunday Last." (see). Over half of the first column is taken up with war heads including: "WILMINGTON" "Fort Fisher Ours" "Its Capture By Assault" "What A Soldier Can Do" "Wilmington Closed to Blockade Runners" and more. War reporting on the inside as well. Eight pgs. & in terrific condition.
