THE NEW YORK HERALD, June 18, 1864  The ftpg. features a nice street map headed: "The Town of Petersburg" which is unusual, as typically Civil War maps are much less defined & of a greater region. Ftpg. heads also include: "GRANT" "Petersburg In Our Hands" "The Rebel Intrenchments Attacked & Captured" "Six guns, Out of the Sixteen Taken, Captured by the Colored Troops" & much more. Plus, the single sheet "Supplement" attached to the back has a huge map titled: "GRANT'S NEW BASE OF OPERATIONS" showing from Richmond to Petersburg (see photos). Complete in 10 pgs., light damp staining to the top one-third of the issue, otherwise nice.
