THE GENTLEMAN'S AND LONDON MAGAZINE, (Dublin, Ireland), November, 1775 Note the title: this is not the typical "Gentleman's Magazine" from London, but rather a similar--and much more rare--magazine from Dublin. Among the articles within are: "Death of the Grand Signior, Mustapha III" of the Turks, which takes six pgs. & is accompanied by a nice foldout engraving of him (see) which measures 7 1/2 by 9 1/2 in.
Over 8 pgs. are taken up with the concluded: "Address of the People of Great Britain to the Inhabitants of America" (photos show just the beginning). Other content includes much on Parliamentary proceedings, and "A Calm Address to our American Colonies, by John Wesley..." which takes over 5 pgs. "His Majesty's Speech" which has much concerning America; the continued: "Account of the Proceedings of the American Colonists" and more. There is also a great letter: "...from the Congress in Philadelphia..." which is signed by: John Hancock, President, concerning relations with England (see). Complete in 64 pgs., no full title/index pg. but does have the half titlepg. (see photo), disbound, measures 5 by 8 inches. There is no imprint verifying the place of publication but this is Crane & Kaye #397.
