Page 2 has a report from Fort Chamble near Montreal which includes:
* ...after giving an account of the defeat of the Rebels at Three Rivers in Canada, in which the Provincial Gen. Thompson was taken prisoner, adds the following particulars..." which follow (see photos), portions of which include: "...they set fire to the fort at St. John's, burnt the barracks & then crossed the lake to Crown Point...preparations to get batteaus to cross the lake after them to Ticonderoga..." and further on is: "The Maryland delegates who withdrew when the question for independency was carried in the Congress have since acceded & retaken their places in that assembly."
Additional reports from America are found further on in the issue, talking of events near Ticonderoga, and Crown Point, and Charleston, etc (see photos).
A back page report mentions: "The province of Virginia have elected a Governor of their own, a Mr. Henry, who is invested with supreme authority over the colony...have likewise issued a proclamation commanding all persons who have fled from the colony to return..." with more (see).
Also: "...from Philadelphia...says The Congress have removed their meetings since the arrival of the fleet at Staten Isle to Lancaster, a town about sixty miles West of this city where they now sit to do business..." with more.
Complete in 8 pages, minor rubbing to the front page only, generally very nice.
