THE NEW YORK CLIPPER, Sept. 30, 1882 Near the back is an advertisement for a production of "The Latest Sensation, the Ford Brothers, Slayers of Jesse James" with a few more details (see photo). But the prime content is the 1 1/2 pages of "BASEBALL" reporting, featuring an illus. and biography of "Martin Powell", first baseman with the Detroit club. There are reports and box scores on no fewer than two dozen baseball games. Great condition.
