A very historic issue, as the top of the first column has heads reading:
* THE RESULT
* Additional Returns from the States"
* The Election of Lincoln
* A Republican Administration and an Opposition Congress
* Names of Candidates Chosen
and just a bit more, with about 2 1/2 columns taken up with charges of the various New York election results with the top two charts showing the election returns for Lincoln versus the others (see photos).
Pg. 4 has heads including: "The Effect of Lincoln's Election in the Southern States" "North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Virginia and Georgia Threaten to Secede" and a bit more.
Little staining and minor spine wear, otherwise in good condition.
