September 18, 1908
THE ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, Georgia, September 18, 1908.

* Orville Wright Injured
* Thomas Etholen Selfridge Killed

This 12 page newspaper has a three line, two column headline on the front page: "AIRSHIP TURNS TURTLE; SELFRIDGE IS KILLED, WRIGHT BADLY, INJURED" with subheads that include: "After Establishing World's Record, Aeroplane Meets With Tragical Mishap" and more. Nice, lengthy article on the firsat person ever to be killed in a powered airplane. Historic aviation report.

Other news of the day throughout. Usual browning with little margin wear. Slightly pulpish and should be handled with care.
