MID-WEEK PICTORIAL, N.Y., Oct. 9, 1919.

* Babe Ruth
* Chicago Black Sox Team Photo

Famous pictorial published by The New York Times Company, the inside of this issue has a terrific double-page spread headed: "Stars of the National Game and Major League Champions Who Are Battling for the World's Championship". The spread features team portraits of the Cincinnati Reds, the champions of the National League, and the Chicago White Sox, the American League champs, with the names of the players for each team listed below the respective photos. There are also close-up photos of the various stars of baseball, including "Babe" Ruth, "Ty" Cobb, "Eddie" Collins, Eddie Cicotte, Walter Johnson, Rogers Hornsby and Grover C. Alexander. In the upper right corner is a photo of the "Famous Cincinnati Red Stockings Of 1869."  A great double-page spread from the famous baseball season of 1919. The front page has a bit of lite margin staining, the back page has some lite staining at the top, plus an area of very lite foxing, the right leaf of the spread has an archival mend to a very small tear in the blank area of the lower left corner, otherwise in good condition.
