BALLOU'S PICTORIAL, Boston, Massachusetts, March 27, 1858

* Winslow Homer Print

Winslow Homer prints are very desirable, and among the more difficult periodical  titles in which to find Homer prints is "Ballou's Pictorial", as it rarely comes on the collector market from the Homer era.

Here is one such issue, with a Winslow Homer print on the front page titled: "The Cold Term, Boston-Scene, Corner of Milk & Washington Streets". The front page also has a related article, and even mentions: "The clever outline picture on this page is an original sketch made for us by Mr. Homer...". Very rarely is there mention of the artist in a related article.

You get the complete 16 page issue which also contains other prints within, but they pale in comparative significance to the Homer print.

Some scattered foxing throughout, generally in good condition.
