June 08, 1858
THE NEW YORK TIMES, June 8, 1858 The front page has an article near the bottom of the page which includes almost in its entirety:
"...details of the Utah news, but they contain nothing additional excepting that the Mormons met by Mr. Gilbert going to the South had returned, or were returning, to Salt Lake City, & that Col. Hoffman's command had advanced only about 40 miles from the 1st to the 14th of May, and would not reach Camp Scott before the 10th or 15th of June. There is nothing relative to the reported cutting off of Captain Marcy's train." with just a short bit more. Much other news of the day in this complete, 8 page newspaper. Just slightly irregular at the spine, otherwise in very nice, clean condition.
