This issue is loaded with advertisements and Civil War reports throughout. Headings include:  "The Rebel Panic in Drainesville (Virginia)" with details  stating that General Stewart was among the dead,  "Christmas on the Potamac" discussing Christmas preparations at Camp Butterfield on Hall's Hill, "The Campaign in (Otterville) Missouri" stating Price's retreat was on order from Jefferson Davis, "Success of the Sioue Fleet" which includes the declaration the lighthouse on Morris Island was blown up along with confirmation that Charleston Harbor was now properly blockaded, and much more.
