THE LONDON JOURNAL, England, 1723 This issue has one of the more decorative & intricately engraved mastheads of the 18th century showing the skyline of London with two coat-of-arms engravings as insets in the corners (see photos). The first letter on the front page is also very ornately embellished with a celestial theme. Various news of the day from throughout Europe with some ads as well. Complete with all 6 pages, as typically the last leaf is missing. A rare title! Some worm holes at the blank spine margin & tiny binding holes at the spine as well. Scattered foxing or damp staining is mainly near the edges.
