THE OBSERVATOR, London, A lot of eight issues dated 1682 - 1683. A well-known dialogue newspaper founded by Sir Roger L'Estrange, a Tory pamphleteer, as a vehicle for attacking dissenters and Whigs. This early single sheet newspaper has the old style type making it great for framing. Measures 8 by 12 inches and is in very nice condition.
