Very rare variant title to celebrate the Treaty of Utrecht...

PAX, PAX; OR, A PACIFICK POST BOY, London, February 3, 1712/13 A very rare, variant title of the "Post-Boy" newspaper, the change in title [Peace, Peace] due to the Treaty of Utrecht just agreed upon. The Treaty of Utrecht was essentially a series of treaties involving various European countries which put an end to the War of Spanish Succession. The agreement noted in this issue was between England & The Netherlands. Dated at The Hague, is a report beginning: "Since my last we have been certainly informed that the occasion of the British Plenipotentiaries ...is to bringn back as soon as possible, her Britannick Majesty's ratification of the New Treaty of Barrier and Succession wash was sign'd by their High Mightinesses Ministers at Utrecht..." with some further detail.
Further on is another report from The Hague beginning: "The respective provinces of this Republick are to examine forthwith the new Treaty of Barrier and Succession, sign'd yesterday..." with more (see). Six months later this agreement--all part of the treaties of Utrecht--would grant England exclusive right to ship slaves to Spanish colonies in America.
Only this issue and the one following (dated Feb. 3) have this variant title, the newspaper reverting to the regular "The Post Boy" with all subsequent issues. The significance of the Treaty of Utrecht was such that the publisher chose to change the title of his newspaper for just these two issues: a very rare occurrence.
Complete as a single sheet newspaper, 8 1/2 by 14 inches, very nice, clean condition.
