THE TIMES, Los Angeles, April 15, 1912 

* RMS Titanic his an iceberg & is sinking - sinks
* Early first report as Women are being put in lifeboats
* FRONT LEAF ONLY (pages 1 & 2) *****


The front page has a banner headline that announces: "THE WORLD'S GREATEST STEAMSHIP WRECKED" with subheads that include: "TITANIC STRIKES GIANT ICEBERG AND SINKS ON MAIDEN VOYAGE" "Last Message from the Wireless Operator, Blurred and Indistinct, Tells of Women Being Put off in Lifeboats" and more. (See) First report coverage begins with: "The great ocean liner Titanic, on her maiden voyage with more than 1300 persons on board, is sinking, following her collision with an iceberg..." (see) This is a first report as details where still in question.
FRONT LEAF ONLY (pages 1 & 2), a little irregular at the margins but no text loss to this front page, a few small mends on the back side (page 2), nice for display as such.
