Great from the ghost town from the Comstock Lode...
Item # 668835
July 19, 1877
GOLD HILL DAILY NEWS, Gold Hill, Nevada, July 19, 1877 A fascinating newspaper from this town just outside of Virginia City, at one point a booming mining town with a population of 8,000. Today it is all but a ghost town with just 191 residents. It was prosperous during the 1870's by mining the famous Comstock Lode.
Not surprisingly a fair amount of mining-related news including a page 3 column headed: "Latest From the Indian War in Idaho" "Chief Joseph Offers to Surrender" "Another Stage Robbery In The Black Hills" and more.
Four pages, archivally rejoined at the inside spine, somewhat fragile & should be handled carefully.
