NEWARK DAILY ADVERTISER, New Jersey, Nov. 9, 1864

* Abraham Lincoln elected president (2nd term)
* 1st report plus Civil War reporting

Page 2 begins with the historic report of the election of Abraham Lincoln for a 2nd term, with column heads: "GREAT UNION VICTORY" "Election of Lincoln And Johnson" which are headed with a graphic of the U.S. flag.
The text takes most of the first column with additional details of the vote by state and county filling out column 2.
Also on page 2 are other election returns, plus war reports with: "Important Rumor!" "Sherman on the War to Charleston" and: "The War Movements".
Four pages, a small piece missing from the front leaf affects a chart for "Vote for Assemblymen" only on page 2, and an advertisement on the front page. Otherwise in very nice condition.
