July 04, 1863

BOSTON DAILY ADVERTISER, July 4, 1863

* Battle of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
* Most historic battle of the Civil War

The front page has not one but two reports on the historic Battle of Gettysburg, one headed: "The Rebel Invasion" "A Terrible Battle Yesterday" "Fighting Still Going on" The report takes nearly an entire column with various subheads, including: "The Battle Of Wednesday" "Severe Battle on Thursday" and: "Yesterday's Battle". Considerable detail.
Then another ftpg. column is headed: "The Battle of Gettysburg" which takes 1 1/4 columns of text with much detail.
Great to have both reports on the front page.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, large folio size, very nice condition. The folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
