MIST'S WEEKLY JOURNAL, London, May 28, 1726

* Very rare mention of Woman pirates

The back page contains a neat advertisement (see) for a book just published, which is: "A General History of the PYRATES, from their first settlement in the island of Providence to the present time; with the remarkable actions and adventures of the two Female Pyrates Mary Read and Anne Bonny, and of the following Captains, viz. Avery, Martel, Teach, alias Blackbeard, Bonnet, England, Vane, Rackum, Davis, Roberts, Anstis, Worley, Lowther, Low, Evans, Phillips, Sprig, and Smith, alias Gow, and their several crews..."
Reads like a "who's who" of infamous pirates of the period (see).
Complete in 4 pages, red-inked tax stamp on the front page, untrimmed margins, printed on thick-stock paper, nice condition.
