March 30, 1802

BALANCE, & COLUMBIAN REPOSITORY, Hudson, New York, March 30, 1802  Inside has: A Talk From Channoby-Mingo, King Of The Chickasaws, To The People Of The United States Of America, signed in type: Channoby Mingo.
It's an interesting letter in which he talks about the differences between Indian chiefs and American "headsmen".
Another page has a brief item: "Commodore Truxton, it is said, has resigned his office in the Navy of the United States."
Eight pages, 9 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
