Not only a nice Confederate newspaper, but one from the capital of the Confederacy.

Also: "The Courts" "City Intelligence" "Telegraphic News--Affairs In Texas--The Sabine Pass Victory--Military Enthusiasm of The People--The Currency--State Election" "Skirmish In Culpeper" "The Latest From Bragg's Army" "Handsome Success In Louisiana--Several Hundred Yankees Killed & Captured" and a few other smaller items.
The bkpg. includes the always interesting editorial, this one taking close to 2 1/2 columns one bit including: "...Forty-two men, we are informed, repulsed 12,000 Yankees at Sabine Pass...". Also on the bkpg: "General Bragg in a Difficulty With his Officers--Arrest of General Polk, Etc.' "Rosecranz's Position--The Military Situation in Tennessee" and "The Virginia Legislature" plus various advertisements.
Complete as a single sheet issue with a banner masthead, some light staining, generally in great condition.
