Most of the ftpg. is taken up with: "The Military Situation" reporting news from the various theaters of the war, and includes: "...Unimportant skirmishing is of almost daily occurrence northeast of Knoxville; and it is rumored that John Morgan, at the head of 5,000 cavalry, is about to make a movement to cut  the communications between that city & Chattanooga, or for a raid in Kentucky..." with much more.
Among the articles on the inside pages are: "Jack Tar & His Grog" "The Pay of Seamen" "Staff Officers & Courts-Martial" "Major-General McClellan's Report--His Correspondence with Washington" includes several letters from President Lincoln. This significant text takes over two pages. Also: "Correspondence Between Foster & Longstreet" "Morgan Visits Libby Prison" "From the South" and so much more.
