HERALD EXPRESS, Los Angeles, Aug. 6, 1945

* Atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan
* World War II ending - surrender nears

The front page headline announces the unleashing of the atomic bomb upon Japan in bold lettering: "ATOM BOMB HITS JAPS" with: "Great Explosion Equals 20,000 Tons of TNT" with subheads and 2 related photos. Also a banner heading at the top of the front page: "Atom Blast Vaporizes Steel; Lights Sky Like Sun; Felt 250 Mi. Away" More on the following pages.
First section only with pages 1-10, some wear at the central fold and margins, more so along the spine with minimal text loss, still great for display as such.
