The front page has a report from Constantinople noting: "The Jews of this place are much afflicted for the loss of their brethren and goods taken by the Barbary corsairs, and despair of reparation, being since informed that the ship was foundred [sic] in the sea and perished with all its lading." (see).
Complete as a single sheet newspaper, 7 by 11 inches, very nice condition. This is the world's oldest continually published English language newspaper, having begun in 1665 and is still publishing today.
