John Cook's confession in the Harper's Ferry raid...

Item # 665161

November 29, 1859

NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., Nov. 29, 1859  The top of the front page has some nice content on the John Brown raid upon Harper's Ferry, column heads including; "The Harper's ferry Conspiracy - The Confession of John E. Cooke" "The Confession" with a wealth of text concerning the event taking nearly 3 columns.
A wealth of fine reporting on this notable event, and great to have in this newspaper from the nation's  capital, and close to Harper's Ferry.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, several folds, fold wear causes some perforation and loss of a few words, various foxing. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
