  • Sinking of a slave ship
  • Slavery trade

The ftpg. has a report off the sinking of what was likely a slave ship: "...The brig Bell, of Glasgow, from Jamaica to Georgia...was struck with lightning which instantly killed 11 of the crew...few hours after the accident the vessel, with 150 negroes, went down..." with a bit more.
Page 3 has an interesting report of crimes & punishment in Winchester.
