THE MEMPHIS DAILY AVALANCHE, Tennessee, May 4, 1859  From not long before the Civil War containing on the front page 3 illustrated ads for slaves, with details. One notes: "Forty-two likely Negroes, together with all the livestock on the plantation..."; one: "For Sale...A no. 1 cook and laundress..."; and the other "Runaway...a negro man named Remos..." with details.
Four pages, cleanly cut at the spine with ample margin, good condition. Folder size is for the issue folded in half.
