TOWN & COUNTRY MAGAZINE, London, January, 1780  Included are over 5 pages of a continued report on: "The Rise & Progress of the Present Unhappy War in America", this portion dealwith with events at Ticonderoga & "Burgoyne's Expedition". Other page heads are: "Affair of Saratoga" and "Gates takes Upon him the Command of the Rebel Army".
Near the back is a report mentioning: "...brought from New Orleans several colours taken from the English in an expedition which Brigadier D. Bernard de Galvez, governor of Louisiana, happily planned & executed against the settlements & forts possessed by the English on the borders of the river Mississippi..." & more. Another report makes mention of John "Paul Jones".
Complete in 56 pages, no plates present, 5 by 8 1/4 inches, masking tape at the spine, full title/contents page, good condition.
