January 11, 1941

THE GAZETTE, Cleveland, Ohio, July 3, 1941  Rather rare that we receive issues of newspapers published for the African-American community in the Cleveland vicinity. Near the top of page 2 is: "The Gazette is the oldest, and has the largest bona fide circulation, double that of any newspaper i the interest of Afro-Americans, published in the state of Ohio...".
As would be expected, the vast majority of the content is focused on African-American achievements, news, and day-to-day news items.
Complete in 4 pages, formatted much like all newspapers of the era. Some wear at the margins with a few minor irregularities, generally good condition.
