Hometown reporting from the Capital of the United States.....

Item # 662922

January 01, 1885

NATIONAL TRIBUNE, Washington, D.C., 1885-1887

One of our staff members recently wrote a post on the History's Newsstand Blog regarding this title, and in part described it as "a paper packed full of everyday life," and although published at the seat of government, she continued: "The newsy, small town tone reminds me of my recent time in New England, with the strange familiarity induced by elements we all have in common, whatever our circumstances or position."
Complete in 8 pages, a library stamp in the masthead, some browning down through the middle and at the mid-fold, and quite fragile, however, the title is in good condition for the (pulpish) era.

The images shown along with the illustrations are only representative of the issue you will receive. However, the issue sent will be of similar quality, look, and condition, and will be dated in the range of 1885-1887.

Also, if you select a folder, the one which will be auto-added is for the issue folded at the mid-fold. If you want the issue to not be folded in this manner, you will need to purchase a 26" by 20" folder separately.
