The back page has an article taking 8 column inches headed: "American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals" which begins: "The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, held their first regular meeting since incorporation, last evening, at their rooms corner of Broadway and Twelfth Street, Henry Bergh, Esq., President of the Society, in the Chair..." with much more (see).
It was just the month prior that the A.S.P.C.A. was created by Henry Bergh. This would almost assuredly be the first printing of the first meeting of this organization as the meeting was in New York City.
An historically significant report on the founding of the A.S.P.C.A. Complete in 8 pages, irregular along the blank spine, otherwise very nice.
