Also included on the front page is a large related sketch captioned: "TRYING TO DICTATE TO HER."Another "Scopes" article is also found on page 2. The back page has a photo captioned: "Judge's Daughters Greet Bryan."

Background Note (source: history.com) The Scopes Trial, also known as the Scopes Monkey Trial, was the 1925 prosecution of science teacher John Scopes for teaching evolution in a Tennessee public school, which a recent bill had made illegal.
