DAILY MISSISSIPPIAN, Jackson, Nov. 3, 1862  Certainly one of the more rare Confederate titles we have offered. This is a volume one issue.
Among the front page has a number of Acts and documents from the Confederacy, most concerning the on-going Civil War. One is: "An Act to Encourage the Manufacture of Clothing and Shoes for the Army" and a lengthy: "Act to Better Provide for the Sick and Wounded of the Army in Hospitals".
Elsewhere in the issue are: "From Kentuck and the North" "Colonel Scott's Cavalry Dash into Frankfort" "18th Mississippi Regiment in the Battle of Sharpsburg" "Gun Cap Machine--Southern Invention". Over a column is taken up with: "Butler's Delta Indicts the Newspaper Trio of New Orleans - Three Sheets in the Wind". Much of the back page is taken up with: "Military Orders" and other notices.
