The front page has: "A Dead Desperado" "The Secret of His Life Dies With Him" "His Identification as One of the Huntington Bank Robbers". This is concerning the Huntington, West Virginia Bank Robbery committed by Jesse James-Younger Gang. One of the subheads is: "Jesse James' Death" noting in part: "...that the wounded robber died Sunday morning...hemorrhage set in & they informed him that he could live but a little while longer..." with more. They were wrong in presuming it was Jesse James who died.
The front page also has: "Texas Devastated by the Equinoctial Storms" "Indianola Deluged by the Gulf Waves" "Matagorda and Other Cities Swept Away" "Dead Bodies Strewn Along the Beach" "Galveston Under Water for Two Days" and more.
Eight pages, very nice condition.
