Although 2 days after most newspapers reported the assassination, this page 2 account of all the news reads just like a first report.
The 2nd column has a nice stack of heads including: "HORRIBLE TRAGEDY!" "ASSASSINATION OF PRESIDENT LINCOLN!" "Attempted Assassination of Secretary Seward!" "He Is Stabbed in the Neck Three Times!" "The Assassins Escape!" "The Country Terribly Excited!" "The Assassins Known and Described!" "Various Reports Concerning The Terrible Event" "The President's Death-Bed" "and more.
Almost the entirety of pg. 2 is taken up with related news items concerning the assassination including a lengthy, black-bordered editorial headed: "The Assassination of the President!
The various photos show just portion is the fine & very detailed coverage on page 2. Some end-of-war reports as well.
Four pages, somewhat large size, never bound nor trimmed with wide margins, some wear at the folds cause a bit of perforation, archivally strengthened at the blank spine, various small tears & minor wear at the edges. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
