This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by famed abolitionist publisher William Lloyd Garrison. The masthead features two engravings, one of a slave auction and the other showing slaves being emancipated.
Among the front page articles are: "Why Should the Negro Fight?" "Why Not Employ The Blacks?" "The Negro Regiment at Port Royal" "The Black Man in the Army" "Necessity of an Immediate Alliance with the Slaves of the Rebels" "The White Man's War.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, various archival mends near folds inside, nice condition.
