Item # 660352 THE TIMES, London, Jan. 16, 1797  Certainly the most significant content is President George Washington's last state-of-the-union address found on page 3. It is headed: "America - Congress of the United States" and prefaced with: "This day, at twelve o'clock, the President of the United States meet both Houses of Congress in the Representatives' Chamber, and delivered to them the following Address:..." and what follows is the complete and lengthy address, carrying over to the back page and signed in type: G. Washington.
Included within this report is his address specific to the House of Representatives and Senate.
Four pages, red tax stamp on the back page, very nice condition.
